(Los Angeles, CA- Nov 18, 2000) -To anyone who grew up in the Seventies, Saturday morning TV was the world of zany puppeteers Sid & Marty Krofft and their shows, H.R. Pufnstuf, Lidsville, Land Of The Lost, Bugaloos, Sigmund and the Sea Monsters -some of the most beloved, remembered, and colorful children's shows of the past thirty years. Now, the Kroffts, after numerous requests from their fans and collectors will join the Internet age and sell some of their original one-of-a-kind artwork from their archives on Ebay.com. The Ebay.com auction will allow people from all countries to bid on these treasures. The Kroffts plan on putting new pieces on Ebay weekly, starting the first week in December. With the introduction of never before available original pieces, collectors will have the opportunity worldwide to purchase a piece of Hollywood's history. In 1969, the Kroffts produced their first Saturday Morning Children Series Pufnstuf, which became their most famous series. Their second television series was Bugaloos on NBC, followed by Lidsville for ABC in 1971. Sigmund & The Sea Monsters starring Johnny Whitaker became an NBC series in 1973. And in 1997 (sic) there was Land of The Lost for NBC. Then followed Far Out Space Nuts for CBS, Lost Saucer for ABC, The Krofft Supershow for ABC, The Krofft Supershow Hour for NBC, The Bay City Rollers Show for NBC, Wonderbug and Bigfoot & Wildboy for ABC. In the late 8O'S, the Kroffts created and produced D.C. Follies, featuring a cast of life-size puppets ranging from 'Richard Nixon' to 'Arnold Schwarzenegger', with outrageous political and current events satire. D.C. Follies ran for two seasons prematurely ending with a writers strike. The Kroffts have won numerous awards through the years. Some of their most outstanding awards were: 1992 Lifetime Achievement Award from Youth in Film, twice in 1995, the Kroffts were honored with a tribute from American Cinematheque for their contribution to children's programming, in 1997, they received both the USA film Festival and Sci-Fi Universe, Lifetime Achievement Award, amongst many others. Currently, the Kroffts are working with Sony on the remake of Land 0f The Lost, Jersey Films on the remake of The Bugaloos and Nickelodeon is scheduled to produce Pufnstuf.
